Refurbishing Classes

PLEASE NOTE: EXPERIENCE IS NECESSARY FOR THESE CLASSES.

Now without further ado:

In our refurbishing classes, we will be working on a variety of vintage watches and movements. Examples of pieces we will be working on are Bulova, Elgin, Seiko and Hamilton.

Each student will be given a watch that is in need of repairs to return it to working and wearable condition. Students will be given their choice of watch based on the order they have signed up for the class. The watches may be cosmetically less than perfect (as they are vintage pieces,) and may be missing parts or have broken bits, but we will walk you through the repairs to end up with a watch you can wear!

Experience is necessary, and good hand/eye coordination is needed. As is patience. If you have never tinkered (successfully or not) with a watch before, these are not the classes for you. Sign up for our Manual Wind Build-Your-Watch class!

Refurbishing classes will be priced according to the type of watch we will be working on, but the range will generally be $500 to $850, and a non-refundable deposit of $100 is required when you book your class. A class may be rescheduled if you are not able to make your scheduled course, and we will work with you to arrange a time as we are able.; we do require a minimum notice of 2 weeks to cancel a reservation.

Minimum class size is 2. If fewer than 2 people have signed up for any class, we will work with you to refund your deposit or reschedule the class.

PLEASE NOTE: a no-show, or notice of less than 1 week, for a scheduled class spot will result in a charge to your card on file for the entirety of the class fee.

We'll add more pieces later, but our prose is wearing out.
